EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

JL Miller leads PALACE Alliance with a decade of special operations leadership, systems engineering, and humanitarian-security planning experience. He has led complex, high-risk operations across international environments, coordinating personnel, partner organizations, and mission requirements under demanding conditions. His work spans crisis response, partner engagement, maritime security, and the design of practical security solutions for austere and vulnerable regions.

With graduate training in Operations Science and a Systems Engineering degree from the United States Naval Academy, JL brings a disciplined, analytical approach to violence reduction and civilian resilience. His nonprofit experience includes organizational development and vocational education initiatives in Africa.

Through PALACE Alliance, JL is building a world-class humanitarian intervention platform that integrates security, aid, intelligence, and local institutional coordination to protect vulnerable communities and strengthen durable resilience.

CHIEF OF OPERATIONS

Derek Hanel brings nearly three decades of special operations leadership, advanced training, and human performance development experience to PALACE Alliance. His career spans operational service, communications instruction, and the preparation of personnel for demanding high-risk environments.

Following active duty service, Derek spent more than a decade leading one of the nation’s premier special operations preparatory training programs, helping develop over 30,000 students for the physical, mental, and leadership demands of elite service. His work included refining mental toughness training, expanding mentorship programming, and integrating outside leaders and speakers to strengthen student development.

STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT

Jeshurun Potter brings more than two decades of special operations, protective security, and international engagement experience to PALACE Alliance. His career spans combat and operational service, executive protection, counterterrorism preparedness, and strategic security work across the Middle East, Africa, and the United States.

He has spent nearly 20 years protecting high-net-worth individuals, senior executives, and public officials in complex environments, working alongside leading American and Israeli security professionals. Since 2023, Jeshurun has helped train law enforcement agencies and civilian communities in threat preparedness, counterterrorism awareness, and emerging security challenges.

At PALACE Alliance, Jeshurun contributes deep expertise in protective security, strategic partnerships, faith-based international engagement, and community preparedness. His experience strengthens PALACE’s ability to connect security, leadership, diplomacy, and humanitarian support into practical solutions for vulnerable communities.
